More About Ivy
Ivy is a singer/actress/voice over artist originally from NJ. She began her vocal training with internationally recognized vocal coach Mr. Robert Edwin (ASCAP) and continued to train classically under the expertise of former Opera singer Mrs. Valorie Goodall. She has attended private classes and study in the Meisner technique in Acting and in Voice-over production and has performed in Europe and many areas of the East Coast, including sharing a stage with the late Rosemary Clooney and Debbie Boone at the Valley Forge Music Fair. She has been the Lead Singer with several Alternative/Hard Rock Bands, opening for Headliners such as Wolves at the Gate and sharing a stage with rising bands such as Set For Tomorrow. With her first band "Original Synergy", Ivy recorded an 8 track CD called "Pay to Breathe". She is now working on recording her first “solo” single. Recently she has been seen on the stages of Prince William Little Theater and Fauquier Community Theater in roles like Louise Seger in "Always, Patsy Cline" and Abby in "The Musical of Musicals, The Musical". You can also find her singing on her church's Worship Team. In the spring of 2014 she joined the cast of DC Young guns Web iTV Award Winning cast "Shotgun Mythos" as Nessa (a folk song street musician from the 70's), and filmed "Song of Summer" in the fall. This year she resigned with the series during their reboot as the role of Nimue, and filmed this past spring. Ivy also filmed the role of Michelle in "Masquerade", a short film with CWA in March of 2015. This fall she has joined the cast of "Two Bits Radio", a web series with Growth Media Services, and is the Music Director for the series. She also be filmed this past fall in the role of a Lounge Singer in "Fat Guy with a Shotgun, A Hillbilly Prophecy" and Fat Guy with a Shotgun, Dogmatic Siblings", with the same company, and is also handling the vocals for the music.
A new project coming to fruition is a duo with friend and colleague Darin Stringer. They are pairing up to bring cabaret style shows of music to the Northern VA area. Be on the lookout for their debut.
Ivy teaches at her own voice/acting studio in Manassas, VA, and is expanding into the Warrenton area in the Spring of 2017. Along with private instruction, and K-12 programs, she teaches various vocal workshops at The Center for the Arts in Manassas. She has students of all ages and skill levels, and loves every minute she spends with them.
Her husband, Bryan, and their two boys, Joshua (10) and Lucas (9), love movies and game nights together whenever possible.
